Manage quick links (Enterprise Portal)

Quick links Web parts display links that are relevant to users in your role. The links provide access to pages, reports, and other Web sites that you frequently use. You can add quick links Web parts, select which links are displayed, and add, modify, or delete links.

  1. Click <User name> > Personalize this Page.

  2. Click the Add a Web Part link in the location where you want to add the quick links Web part.

  3. In the Categories section, select Microsoft Dynamics AX.

  4. In the Web Parts section, click Quick links, and then click Add.

  5. On the Action Pane, click Stop Editing.

  1. In the quick links Web part, click Add Links.

  2. Specify the link destination:

    • To create a link to a form, report, or list page in the Microsoft Dynamics AX client, select Desktop Link, and then select the form, report, or list page in the list.

      Note

      Desktop links are available only when you access your Role Center in the Microsoft Dynamics AX client.

    • To create a link to an Enterprise Portal for Microsoft Dynamics AX page on the same site and for the current company, select Enterprise Portal link, and then select the page in the list. If you want the link to be available when you access your Role Center in the Microsoft Dynamics AX client, select the Display Enterprise Portal links in the client check box.

    • To create a link to a Web site or page, or to an Enterprise Portal page on another site or for a different company, select URL, and then enter the URL.

  3. Enter the title of the link as you want it to appear in the Web part.

  4. Click OK.

  1. In the quick links Web part, click Manage Links.

  2. Complete one of the following tasks:

    • To change the order of the links, select a number in the list to specify the new numeric order for each link.

    • To modify a link, click the Edit Link icon. Modify the link information, and then click OK.

    • To delete a link, click the Delete Link icon, and then confirm the deletion.

  3. Click OK.
