Create a fixed asset

Use the Fixed assets form to create and maintain fixed assets.

You can also create fixed assets from Inventory management, purchase receipts, and vendor invoices. For more information, see About fixed assets integration.

  1. Click Fixed assets > Common > Fixed assets > Fixed assets. On the Action Pane, on the Fixed asset tab, in the New group, click Fixed asset.

  2. Select a fixed asset group to assign the fixed asset to.

  3. Enter a unique number to identify the fixed asset.

  4. You can enter description, type, and quantity information.

  5. In the Asset activity code field, you can select an activity code to track the asset according to the activity category it is used for. For more information, see Asset activity codes (form).

  6. In the Property group field, you can select the property group for the fixed asset to track the asset according to the property classification it belongs to. For more information, see Property groups (form).

  7. Enter or select information in the remaining fields, as needed. For more information, see Fixed assets (form).
