Add a mobile lookup control to the Field Service mobile app (preview)

[This article is prerelease documentation and is subject to change.]

Optimize the Field Service mobile lookup experience by configuring a Drawer Lookup control to a lookup component. Improve mobile navigation speed with reduced clicks, select quickly from lists with a modern bottom sheet, and increase overall user efficiency and satisfaction.

Important

  • This is a preview feature.
  • Preview features aren't meant for production use and may have restricted functionality. These features are available before an official release so that customers can get early access and provide feedback.

To use mobile lookup in Power Apps:

  1. Configure a Power Apps lookup component on form.

  2. Go to the Components property under the created lookup.

  3. Select + Component.

  4. Search for the Drawer Lookup Control.

  5. To prevent users from inadvertently navigating away from the current form, disable the clickthrough behavior on lookup fields by selecting Disable lookup clickthrough for the Lookup clickthrough value to remove these hyperlinks.

    Note

To disable lookup clickthrough without adding a Drawer Lookup Control, follow the guidance in Disable clickthrough on lookup values in forms.

  6. Select device experiences to enable the control for mobile and tablet.

    Note

The primary focus of this control is mobile and tablet. It might work on the web, but it's only supported on mobile and tablet.

  7. Select Done.

  8. Save and publish.
