Form fill assist toolbar enabled in all model-driven apps in monthly channel
We are announcing the form fill assist toolbar for main forms in model-driven apps. This toolbar makes it easier to view and manage suggestions from form fill assistance features. Users can show or hide the toolbar, access capabilities enabled by their admin (such as smart paste), view suggestion sources, and provide feedback using the toolbar.
The behavior of the toolbar will be:
- Expanded by default on new record forms.
- Hidden by default on existing record forms until new suggestions are available in the form.
- Users can override this behavior by explicitly hiding or showing the toolbar.
If no form fill assistance features are enabled for the environment by the admin, then no toolbar will be shown to users.
This toolbar will be enabled for all model-driven apps in monthly channel environments starting May 1, 2025. It can be managed using the following settings:
- Environment-level setting: "Form fill assist toolbar" setting in the admin center applies to all apps in the environment.
- App-specific setting: "Form fill assist toolbar" setting in the model-driven app designer overrides the environment-level setting.
- Copilot feature: Yes
- Target Semi-Annual Release: 2025 Release Wave 2

- Target Semi-Annual Release: 2025 Release Wave 2

Whether you are tracking sales or driving customer service excellence, the data exploration agent can help you see the bigger picture instantly.
- Imaging needing to analyze your opportunity pipeline for a customer. Simply type the query "Opportunity trend for Fabrikam" and effortlessly see a visualization and it's associated filtered data side by side.
- Drill into the data by interacting with the chart, or the grid column filters, or both.
- Personalize the chart in-place by changing the chart type, using the AI-generated chart.

Monthly Channel update: faster access to the latest features
To help you get the most out of the model-driven apps, we’re evolving the Monthly Channel.
Starting June Monthly channel, the Monthly Channel will move from a 4-week early access window to a 1-week window before features start to roll out broadly. This change reflects the pace at which products evolve today—we want to get new capabilities into your hands faster, so you can start benefiting from them sooner. As part of this update, Monthly Channel release notes will now be published in the first few days of each month, if there are features shipping to the Monthly Channel that month.
If one week isn’t enough for you for validation or testing, we strongly recommend to get the First Release Sandbox (FRS) environment, as features roll out there first before reaching other groups.
