Trying to reinstall outlook in a new vm after vm failed. Doing a recovery install can not get past the following error.
*Performing Microsoft Exchange Server Prerequisite Check *
*Configuring Prerequisites COMPLETED Prerequisite Analysis FAILED
*
A Setup failure previously occurred while installing the HubTransportRole role. Either run Setu p again for just this role, or remove the role using Control Panel. For more information, visit: technet watermark link
I have tried installing the HubTransport setup /m:Install /r:HubTransport /IacceptEcchangeServerLicense and it fails.
The machine is not configured for installing "BridgeheadRole" Datacenter Role. Setup previously failed while performing the action "DisasterRecovery". You can't resume setup by performing the action "Install".

Setup /r:HubTransport is not supported in Exchange 2013.
Please tell us everthing--and I mean everything--you've done, including the complete command line and any prerequisite installation you did before. Also share what cumulative update of Exchange 2013 you are trying to install.

Agree with Ed, still need to know if you are trying to recover an Exchange 2010 server or Exchange 2013 server. From your description, I suppose it is an Exchange 2010 server.

"The key to the issue is just to delete the registry entries Watermark and Action in the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ ExchangeServer \ v14 \ HubTransportRole . Then we can recover the Exchange Server successfully."
