Windows 10 remote desktop audio redirection

I understand how to select within "remote desktop connection" to enable "play sounds on this computer" and "record from this computer"

the problem i have though is that no recording devices show up on the remote computer. i have this issue with windows 10 pro connecting to windows 7 pro.

please correct me if i am wrong but this should be supported coming from windows 10, if i am wrong on this please let me know. does anyone have any suggestions i can try?

Hi,

Firstly, open group policy editor, go to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Remote Desktop Services/Remote Desktop Session Host

Enable Allow audio recording redirection.

Next, open registry, go to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\

Change fDisableAudioCapture = 0

There is a case can be regarded as a reference.

Can't redirect microphone by rdp: No audio devices are installed
