Windows Error, in Setup Event Log then machine randomly shuts down.

Question

I am trying to troubleshoot a machine randomly shutting down, The machine has been doing this for some time. I noticed however power off time is spot on with these events in event viewer: Windows update  could not be uninstalled because of error 2147942487 "The parameter is incorrect." (Command line: "wusa.exe  /uninstall /kb:2952664 /quiet /norestart")

I am not trying to uninstall any windows updates. We use CW Automate to manage patching however it is not trying to uninstall anything at the moment. I have other events at this time as well:

Source WinLogON: User Logoff Notification for Customer Experience Improvement Program

Source:EventLog: The Event log service was stopped.

Source:dhcp-client DHCPv4 client received shutdown notification

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue? Thanks.

Hi,

Is it a domain joined device?

If yes, does the issue occur on other devices which in same domain.

Please also check if any related tasks created in Task Scheduler.

Bests,

Seeing the same problem in our domain.  So far it has only been reported on our Dell OptiPlex 3040's.  Same message "DHCPv4 client received shutdown notification" at the time of reboot.  The other message at the time of reboot is "The description for Event ID 0 from source igfxCUIService2.0.0.0 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted".  This will get my full attention today because we have over 500 of these systems and if we get more reports, this will be a major issue for us.  If I come across anything, I will post an update.
