Hi,

Generally, when you set the PIN and other sign in option, Sign-in options link would appear by itself.

From your screenshot, I see it seems that you use the Microsoft account, and there is no sign in options link either for finger or PIN.

What if you switch to a local account? Did your computer join the domain?

The fingerprint option will always be visible if there is a WBF-supported fingerprint reader.

I shall suggest you to uninstall existing fingerprint reader via device manager first. Once done, reboot your system, let OS detect fingerprint reader now finally update it's driver via Windows Update. Make sure you have installed all the latest updates via Windows Update.

Press Windows logo key + R key.

  • Type gpedit.msc and press Enter key.
  • Under Computer Configuration, navigate to.

**         Administrative Templates** -->Windows Components-->Biometrics

In the left hand panel of the Windows, double click on the following:

  1. Allow the use of biometrics
  2. Allow users to log on using biometric.
  3. Select enable option and click on Apply and OK button.

Now Enable the biometric sign in option

  1. Press Windows logo key + I key.
  2. Click on Accounts.
  3. Go to Sign in options tab and configure your desired option from there.

Thanks For Your Reply..

Even though i followed above steps exactly as described but the issue is same as before. I can enroll my fingers into sign in option and it doesn't show when computer locks. Please find the attached screenshot below.

(Note - After clean installation of windows i had no option called `Windows Hello` in sign in options. so i followed the instruction of `gpedit.exe` in order to enable the service

Hi,

I have the same problem. My system is Dell E7440 with  W10 Pro  and local account.

I set up Hello, edited the group policy, but there's no option to logon with fingerprint.

I could use the Dell Data Protection Security tools, but I would be happier with the native windows solution.

Here is my Dev manager:

Dear all,

In order to fix this issue , please try this method as it worked for me.

1.)Remove the existing finger print credential from the Sign in option menu.

2.)Re-Enroll the finger print one more time successfully and then restart the laptop.

The Finger print icon should appear on the lock screen after the previous restart.

Hope this solves the issue .  I manage to solve this problem on 3 different laptops(lenovo , dell ,asus)

. cheers!!!
