Outlook calendar schedule turn to Red category suddently

Hi all,

It's very strange that some of my meeting in outlook calendar turn into RED category suddenly. It happens several time and appear on some meeting schedule randomly.

Whenever I clear up all the category every time and reset the category by using command "outlook.exe /cleancategorie", it back again and again........Is anyone got similar issue before? it's very annoying....Thanks All

Hi,

If possible, remove other people's permission to your calendar, check if the issue will occur.

This will help us determine whether the change is made from your side or others'.

We can also perform a clean boot then start Outlook, check if the problem persists. It helps determine whether background programs are interfering with Outlook:

Hi,

I understand the issue is something keeps changing the categories without your permit.

One possible reason is that you have shared your calendar to other people, people who have the permission to the calendar may change the categories for your calendar items.

You can right click on your Calendar, switch to Permission tab, check whom you have shared the calendar to. You can remove the permission and then check if the issue will occur.

Please also check if you have installed any suspicious add-ins that may change the categories, please run Outlook in safe mode to test:

Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /safe" in the Run box, press Enter.

In safe mode there is no add-in loaded, if the categories don't change then, we should disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which one caused the problem.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Indeed, it shared to other colleagues for work. But I did check with others, they did not do any change for the categorize....

Besides, I can see there is not other add-in running on the outlook.....it's very strange.........
