What's the correct way to disable IPv6 on Windows 10 PCs via GPO? I'd prefer not to use a custom ADMX file if possible.

i guess this is the best for you.
what is the reason to do this ? IPv6 should not disabled (fully)..

Thanks for the reply. It's just a temporary change, as I understand it shouldn't be fully disabled. But that article references a "step 5" and building a custom admx, but I don't see a step 5. So would the only way to do it centrally is build that custom admx then use that?

That looks to be the solution I was looking for, thank you. I'm not clear though if a restart needs to happen before the setting activates or not once the GPO is applied, do you know?

either a reboot or a gpupdate /force will be required.

OK, so as long as the Group Policy updates somehow, the change to IPv6 should kick in immediately.
