Question

Hi All,

Please can you advise me , how I can change the colour of the status bar to gray?

If I select theme "white" or theme "light gray" , then the status bar appears blue.

If I select theme "dark gray" , then the status bar appears black.

If I goto Display --> Personisation --> Window colour , I cannot see an option for status bar colour?

Please can you advise me , how I can change the colour of the status bar to gray?

Thank you and best regards,

James

Hi JamesC20000,

As far as I know, the color of status bar is based on the Office theme, and there are only three themes in Office 2013 which is not so satisfactory to some users. Thus, we can't change the status bar to gray in Office 2013 yet.

I've collected the suggestion and please be assured that any improvements in the product are based on users' requirements. Our developers strive to capture Microsoft users' ideas and are working hard to create a more powerful and easy-to-use product.

PS: We can wait for Office 2016, it'll add more Colorful Office themes.

Thanks for your understanding.

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.
