Question

Hello,

I need help with one problem. I searched all over the internet with no working solution. We have terminal server and some clients can not work, after they login on RDP, the screen is just flashing like refreshing and they can not do anything. Some clients are fine. We found in logs, it may be error EventID 1000 and problem with Explorer.exe and ntdll.dll. Is there any way, how to fix this without reinstaling the server or any data loss?

Thank you in advance.

Marek

Hello!

I have the same problem on Windows server 2016. I solve the problem by re-register the ntdll.dll - run cmd like administrator and then write :  regsvr32 ntdll.dll. Then check windows update history and if you found KB4057142, that could be the problem. It damage som dll files. I install update KB4077525 and after these steps everything works OK.

Check it and reply if you these steps help.

Hi,

Generally the error which you are facing occurs due to many different scenario. But the main reason to cause this will result from a corrupt or damaged version of the ntdll.dll file. Please run sfc /scannow from your command prompt and check if it could works fine.
