Svhost.exe (DcomLaunch) process is consuming 100% of CPU in server 2012 R2 x64
svchost.exe PID 568: Appinfo, BITS, CertPropSvc, DsmSvc, gpsvc,
IKEEXT, iphlpsvc, LanmanServer, ProfSvc,
RasMan, RemoteAccess, Schedule, SENS,
SessionEnv, ShellHWDetection, Themes,
Winmgmt
svchost.exe PID: 1344 SCardSvr, TimeBroker
svchost.exe PID 528: Dhcp, EventLog, lmhosts, Wcmsvc

Refer following. Use Process explorer and find the right process which consume CPU. Then you can action.

Hi,
1.Please make sure that your server has already been install the latest update.
2.Some malware can also cause this problem. You can try to run anti-virus software to detect whether there is malware.
3.Run the following command:
tasklist /svc /fi "imagename eq svchost.exe"
That will tell you what services are being controlled by the service host. You can force stop the services to free up CPU
