I'm running the latest release of Windows 10 home. I'm trying to disable Protected View for trusted documents on a local (home) NAS. When I try to add the related folder I get the error:
"The remote or network path you have entered is not allowed by your current security settings". (See attached image)
I also have selected the "Subfolders" option - no difference.
I can disable Protected View options to eliminate the unnecessary prompt when opening a document, but that also eliminates the designed protection it is intended to serve.
I have full admin access to all my LAN devices, and have no qualms about registry mods if it comes to that.
How can I modify my security settings to allow Trusted Locations?

Hi,
How did you add the path to the Trusted Location? By typing path manually or navigating to the folder location? You must be sure that the correct path is entered. Please refer to this link to see if it helped:
