Hi
How can I reinstall Windows Search? I can't find it under Windows features. The pc is fairly new and came pre-installed with Win 10 pro from Dell.
Thanks

In Windows 10 Search is located here under Local Group Policy Editor:
Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates-Windows Components->search, turn-Off Windows 10 search indexing and Windows search service.
Do you know if that has the effect of hiding it as well? FWIW not knowing about this policy feature in related threads I have been suggesting people check on wsearch using DISM, thinking that it might only be disabled somehow.
Or using PowerShell
PS>Get-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online | where FeatureName -match "Search"
FeatureName : SearchEngine-Client-Package
State : Enabled

Hi Y a h y a,
In addition, based on my check, I have the same screenshot with you in Windows Feature.
Unlike Windows 7, Windows 10 doesn’t add Windows Search option in Windows Feature.
You could disable Windows Search service and enable it.
Hope it will be helpful to you
