Event ID 10005 on shutdown

Question

PC is running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit version 1709 (build 16299.248).

Today, I noticed in my Event Viewer logs that the following error occurred 884 times on shutdown:
System log, Source DistributedCOM, Event ID 10005, User SYSTEM
DCOM got error "1115" attempting to start the service TrustedInstaller with arguments "Unavailable" in order to run the server:
{752073A1-23F2-4396-85F0-8FDB879ED0ED}

A search of the registry for {752073A1-23F2-4396-85F0-8FDB879ED0ED} found:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\752073A1-23F2-4396-85F0-8FDB879ED0ED}
(Default): Component Based Servicing Session
AppID: {752073A2-23F2-4396-85F0-8FDB879ED0ED}

I have no idea why or what triggered this error on shutdown or why 884 instances of the error.

Please can anyone help/advise?

Hi,

As the issue would be caused by the registry: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S-1-5-18 was missing or corrupted.

Please try to back up and restore the registry key.

Please try to back up and restore the registry key.

I have checked this registry key and compared it with other Windows 10 Pro 64-bit systems. The registry key is not missing or corrupted.

I am having THIS SAME EXACT issue and can't fine any info online to help.  Has there been any progress on finding the fix for this?

Let me just add that this is a pc on an AD domain.  And this issue happens right after the user logs in.  Get a blank screen with movable cursor and I can hit ctrl+alt+del to get the logout, switch user options.

thanks
