in general, for Bluetooth devices, you enable Bluetooth on the computer and also on the device, and the device and the computer will broadcast+scan, and will detect each other, and on the computer you will see a list presented, which includes the device, select the device, enter a PIN (often it's 0000)

Don [doesn't work for MSFT, and they're probably glad about that ;]

The pin is the difference maker.  Obviously both the computer and speaker need to have Bluetooth on, but what worked for me was entering the 0000 as the pin instead of leaving it blank.  When I left it blank it would add the speaker to the list of my devices, but I was never able to connect to it in the speaker settings.  Once I disconnected and added the speaker again, using the pin 0000 it connected almost immediately.  Works great!

Hey guys i found a solution ..goto your Bluetooth devices and remove the device

then after goto the corner where the add Bluetooth devices options is and add

just follow the normal adding steps from here and all will work

hi guys..this really works..you need to remove devices which was connected..then follow the add bluetooth devices option..use pin 0000 and it works

100% this. thanks internet stranger. Worked like a charm. Two devices came up using this both named Bose Soundlink Mini or whatever', one with 'Unknown' written below it and the other marked as 'Speaker' - obviously add the speaker one and you're good to go.

ps by "Add devices options" he means "Devices and Printers" good luck
