Hi,
I have recently setup a desktop running Windows 10 as a VPN server. When I attempt to connect to in from another remote computer via VPN, I can connect via the ip address, and the user name is identified - the Microsoft account\email shows up and requests the password. It reports that the password is incorrect and the next error message is "the PPP link control protocol was terminated."
I don't know why it doesn't accept my correct password even though it recognises the username and account.
Any thoughts?

If using PPTP VPN try enabling MS-CHAP v2.
Under the Security tab, choose the type of VPN and set to Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)
Choose Allow these protocols and click on check box Microsoft CHAP Version 2 (MS-CHAP v2)

Hi Sc_88,
How do you setup the VPN server on Windows 10 ?
By using the incoming connection, or any 3rd-party software?
If it is the incoming connection, then please check the following articles and see if any steps missed:
Configure Incoming Connections
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755008(v=ws.10).aspx
If other software related, then please consider seek help at the vendor side.

Are you using any programs for VPN connection or you are using default Windows VPN settings?
In the server side, are you using any VPN software?
