Failed to run the action: Set BIOS Password.

one of the deployment get failed at the first step and the smts.log is showing this error :

The old password must be provided to set a new password using --ValSetupPwd. InstallSoftware 9/12/2019 5:21:27 AM 1044 (0x0414)

Do we need to setup a bios password which will be then reset by this package ?

Hi,

If you want to remove Dell BIOS password via cctk, try the command line:
CCTK.exe --setuppwd= --valsetuppwd=%currentpassword%

That's vendor specific and specific to cctk.exe and so is best addressed in a Dell forum.
