Since upgrading my PC to windows 10 I cannot find the printer maintanence tools for my HP Photosmart 7450 printer. I have a new cartridge which is not working; think jets are blocked and probably needs to be realigned. Drivers are up to date and PC says the printer is working fine - but it clearly isn't. I am not an IT professional but feeling desperate.

Hi Dianetheflute,
Do you mean the HP Photosmart 7450 Photo Printer?
Have you checked the HP support below?
For the printer maintanence tool, if they are HP developed, then we may need to reinstall it to take a check.
For Windows, please type troubleshooting in the search box, there would be troubleshooting tools control panel available under the search list.
Regards

Hello,
Can you try reinstallation of Printer and see if that works - just a suggestion.
Regards.

I have the same problem with my old Epsom printer. I can't find any way to perform simple maintenance tasks on it since upgrading to Windows 10. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, checked the drivers, run the troubleshooter several times (it always says it's fine) and yet the evidence of white lines through my print out says otherwise. So frustrating!!

To get to the printer maintenance settings in Windows 10:
- From the Start Menu select Settings
- Then Devices, Bluetooth, Printers, Mouse
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen!!!!
- Double-click Devices and Printers
- Your printers should be listed (just like the old days :-)
- Double-click the printer you wish to maintain
- Double-click Printer Management
- Double-click Printer Properties
(Why, oh why have all the settings been mucked about with in Windows 10!?)

PS To get to a 'proper' Control Panel in Windows 10:
- Click in the Search web and Windows box at the bottom of the screen
- Type cont
- Press Return (or click the option at the top of the list that appears)
(Watched the Microsoft Teck Desk assistant do this in a chat session. They can't find the setting either!)

It isn't all that hard to find. From All apps, scroll down to Windows System and expand it.
If you use it often, pin it to Start or Taskbar.

Did you try re-installing the driver? There is a Windows 10 driver available on the Epson site.

Please help me where you able to find out what to do? I have the exact same problem?
The driver is fine, under properties there should be a maintenance selection, so that I can clean the printer, or nozzle checks and so forth. There is nothing there to assist.

Same problem here. NO "maintenance". Don't you just LOVE the folks that say "oh, it's easy... just _____ " like you just fell off the turnip truck. IT... ISN'T...THERE!!!
