How do you change the name of a windows from application in Visual Studio 2010 in the Task Manager?Right now it is coming up as From1 and when I try to change it in the Solution Explorer an error message comes up saying that it won't save properly. Where exactly should I go to change the name so that it will come up as what I want in the Task Manager?

Hi,
You can change the name of the form (on form properties on visual studio), wich will show on the title of your main form.
But youask about Task Manager. On this, the name that appearis the name you give to your executable progam. You can change it, by using the properties ofyout project.
Right click on your project -> select Applicattion Tab -> change assembly name.

Use Process.ProcessName Property .

Change the property of form

Task Manager uses the title text of the main window (the main form that is shown in the taskbar).
Set the Text property of your main form to something other than Form1.

There are three different things:
The Title of the active Window (is different from the ClassName of the Form, even if they start the same)
The name of the Executeable
The discription that by deafult is exposed in the final row of the Processes Tab/3rd row of Services Tab (only Vista and 7).
Wich of the three do you want to change?
