Hi,

Try to disable the "Allow Office to connect to the Internet" from File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> Privacy Options within the Office applications.

If this issue still exists, please go to Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Credential Manager -> Windows Credentials, remove the credentials for Microsoft Office, then try to type in the password and test if the issue persists.

Hi! I have tried all these suggestion but it still does the same thing. Credentials in Credential manager are non-existent, registry entry for connecting to internet was changed, trust center settings done and I even stopped it from updating but all my users with 0ffice2013 have this problem. I need the office installations to not connect to the internet for any reason.

Hello,

Having exactly the same issue - all options for Office connecting to the Internet turned off, yet still getting the prompt for entering user/pass to access Internet.

For once and for all - where does this get turned off!

Thanks

Hello. I tried both suggestions but the problem still persists. Do you have other suggestions/solutions? Thanks.

I have same problem. Tried almost all things without positive results.

I have done:

a) Options->Trust Center->Configuration->Privacy->unmarked "Allow office to connect to internet" checkbox

b) included the office15client.microsoft.com in hosts file redirecting to 127.0.0.1 (localhost)

c) inluded the address in bypass proxy address

d) disable welcome screen from office applications

e) Change Register value

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Internet\useOnlineContent

Nothing Works. That´s very annoying all this...

Contentstorage.osi.office.net

Officeclient.microsoft.com

Saludos....

Same issue.

This issue has been fixed multiple times. Something keeps putting it back rendering solutions futile.

Have done so far:

- Disabled online access in privacy settings - Worked for a day

- Set the registry key - Worked for a day.

- Firewall exclusions did work before but then we modified the .pac file to exclude these addresses. Worked for a day.

- Credentials, none saved

It's really annoying and get's in the way of working.

Firewall .pac file worked again today.

had to add this to the nested "if"

dnsDomainIs(host, "office15client.microsoft.com")

I have a similar issue, the only difference being that for me the proxy I need to sign into is "autodiscover-s.outlook.com" and I tried these but they didn't work, do the different proxies have different solutions? If so, what are they?
