Question

Hello.
A client of mine has several computers with W10 using offline files without any problem.
But one of the computers have a strange problem. When not at the office, she can only open her offline files if she has an internet connection. Without, an error pops up saying (in Norwegian) Sorry, we couldn't open '\severname\fileshare\filename'
The error is identical as the one I find in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3187045/can-t-open-files-offline-when-you-use-offline-files-and-windows-inform
But Windows Information Protection is not enabled on the system. The do not use Intune nor Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
How to solve this? Very frustrating for her to not be able to open her files when offline.

Hello,
this message can also pop up when the offline files quota is full, I suggest you check that in the sync centre and if not then remove the offline files and remake the sync connection.

Thanks Anewton for your quick reply.
She has just a few files so the quota cannot be full, but I will try remake the sync connection.
