I changed my windows password through computer management, local users and Groups, users, user name. After restarting the machine and trying to open the encrypted files this is the information it give me "Your do not have permission to open this files. see the owner of the file or an administrator to obtain permission" Please how do i solve this problem?

to change your own password you should have used the normal "Change Password" dialog from the logged in user account.

Changing a password from the Computer Management dialog displays a warning dialog with the following text, which you seem to have overlooked:
"Resetting this password might cause irreversible loss of information for this user account.
For security reasons, Windows protects certain information by making it impossible to access if the user`s password is reset."
Now you know what this message meant.

But you only need to re- import your backup of the encryption key.

You did of course create a backup of the key, did you?!
