This installation method worked in our lab environment, but not in the production tests, I am just trying to find what the cause of the 17002 error is that returns the "Something has gone Wrong" screen.

Unlike the other thread I found, this is a domain machine, logged in and run with admin rights.

Thank you,

Brad

Hi I had the Same issue All I did to Fix it was Download and save the office x32 setup file instead of letting it run automatically  then opened my download folder highlighted the File Right Click and Run as admin Viola it worked.

Thank you for the suggestion.  I have gotten this deployment package to work several times, just not where I intend to use it, I also have the full download of Office2013 that I could use, but would like to push the installation out.

I'm having a similar issue, which only started when I download the latest source of Office 2013 C2R (15.0.4569.1508). I'm not able to replicate with versions pre SP1. I have downloaded it a couple of times to verify the source content.  It fails to install with SCCM 2012 and I get an error when I manually run the installer using the same xml file that I'm running from SCCM. In the logs I see the 17002 exit code.

This has been resolved for me. I was using an older version of the Office Deployment Tool. To deploy Office 2013 C2R SP1 (15.0.4569.1508 or later) you need the deployment tool that was released on 2/25/2014.  Located here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36778
