Question

Hey all,
I have a PC where Outlook, Adobe Reader and Internet Explorer keeps giving warnings in the logging:
Warning 13/08/2018 14:11:37 Microsoft-Windows-RestartManager 10010 None Is unable 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE' (PID 16256) to restart - Application-SID does not match conductor-SID
This prevents the PC to open Outlook, Adobe Reader or Internet Explorer. I've already tried to fully reïnstall all these applications on the device and it solved the issue for a solid month. This behavior is now re-appearing and I would like to solve this completely.
I would like to avoid a full reïnstallation of the device itself.
Is this normal behavior of a device or is it an indication of a error somewhere?
Specs: WIN10 10.0.17134
Office 2016 (365) 16.0.10325.20118

Hello
Sounds like a windows permissions issue.
The "Application SID does not match Conductor SID" error can occur when a program is being run at an elevated level or the user does not have permission. This usually occurs during an install or restart of the program. Make sure the user accounts match or the current user has permission to perform the intended operation.

Hi,
Have you take ownership of Windows 10?

In addition, for Outlook issue, I suggest discussing it in our Windows Office forum. They are the best resource to troubleshoot this issue.

Quick update:
Outlook has since I've posted this opened correctly every time.
Since there is no longer an issue this post can be closed.
The error messages do still appear but if the issue appears again we are going to reïnstall
