Question

Hi,
I have a large DHCP address scope.
I need to differentiate IP Range based on various policies, but 1 in particular:
FQDN (example: all clients that have a FQDN that starts with COMPANY-M (names are COMPANY-M01, COMPANY-M02...))
When I create the Policy, If in conditions I add the Fully Qualified Domain Name criteria,
the IP Address Range tab is greyed out, and I can't assign IP ranges.
If I add other type of conditions, for example Vendor Class criteria, the IP Address Range tab is activated.
Why this?

Hi Intercom,
A policy with conditions based on fully qualified domain name can have configuration settings for DNS but not for options or IP address ranges.
Please reference the picture below for further understanding:
Please check the link below to understand DHCP policy:

Hi,
thanks for reply, so if I can't use the FQDN,
I will try to understand how to use vendor o user class and assign them to my clients,
to distinguish them from other devices, and apply dhcp policies based on user/vendor classes.
Best regards
Claudio
