Shared folder access problem on windows server 2012 R2

Question

Wednesday, May 30, 2018 2:57 PM

Hi all,

I have shared documents problem with 4 of my servers I tried to remove antivirus, removed firewall but still can't access them it gives me the error: Windows cannot access \server\folder
Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve network problems, click Diagnose. Error code: 0x80004005. if I try with IP I receive error 0x80070035

Before I get this error I had a wannamine virus I successfully removed it but now I have this problem on 4 of my servers I can see that port 445 is still closed when I try to telnet but port 139 and 135 they are opened.

I disabled the windows firewall uninstalled the antivirus same problem.

I tried with IP address but again I receive the same error.
I tried to uninstall and install Client for Microsoft Networks again the same error
I tried to uninstall and install File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks again the same.
The strange thing is that I can access the shared folders with servers between each other. So servers are communicating with each other and can access shared folder but from desktop PC and Laptops no.

Hi Ylli-Frroku,

> So servers are communicating with each other and can access shared folder but from desktop PC and Laptops no.

May I ask all the PCs are in the same domain, right? All the clients couldn't access to these server? What's the OS for these client? Please also check the SMB version problem

When you access with \ipadress\share, could that work?

If you ping the server from your client, the result correct?

When disable AV software and firewall, have you check both side? Client and server? Please disable in two sides to do a check.

Please also enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP and  enable TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper in Services

The error code 0x80070035 indicates that the network path is not found. This error could be caused by various causes. Please also follow the general steps to do the troubleshooting.
