Disable adding virtual desktops to Win10

Is there a way to disable adding virtual desktops to Win10? Such as by GPO?

Hi!

As far as I know there's no way to permanently disable it, you can remove the task view button from the taskbar if it helps, but it won't be disabled.

As virtual desktops also use winkey shortcuts, it is possible to disable certain winkey shortcuts in Windows 10, check the link below:

Based on my research, there is no way to disable Virtual Desktop. If there is any progress in the future, I'll post back.

Hi Rohzvi.

As far as I know, there is no way to disable Virtual Desktops in Windows 10: that's by design.
You can hide the Task View button on the taskbar or disable certain shortcuts that use the Win key, but the whole Virtual Desktop feature cannot be deactivated.
You could use the Windows 10 Feedback Hub to suggest such a feature to be implemented in a future Windows 10 build.
