Question

I have been searching for some way to disable auto-accepting appointments but cannot find any option to do this.
Even though in the options menu it is not turned on, I still get appointments auto-accepted which is a problem since I receive dozens of spam mails every day in my junk folder. It becomes a nuisance as I get reminders for appointments that don't exist... then I have to go manually delete them from the calendar to avoid having a lot of garbage in it.
I want no appointments to be auto-accepted, EVER, under no conditions.
Anyone knows how I can do this?

If the setting in Outlook is correct, there might be something wrong in server site. What's the Recipient Type? Sourcemailbox or serMailbox?
If you have enough permission, I'd suggest you run the cmdlet Get-CalendarProcessing id <the effected user> |FL, and then check the value of AutoMateProcessing.

Besides, for the server problem related to Office 365, we may post a thread on forum of Office 365 for better support. Thanks.

Same location as Outlook 2010 to disable auto-accepting appointments:
File > Options > Calendar > Automatic accept decline setion > "Auto Accep/Decline..." button.
Good luck!

Hi Tony, if you read carefully in my post I say this:
-> Even though in the options menu it is not turned on, I still get appointments auto-accepted <-
The option you mentioned is turned off and appointments are still being auto-accepted regardless of that option being off. I'm using Office 365 with Outlook 2013, is it possible that Office 365 itself is auto-accepting the appointments?

The issue is still not resolved as I have the same issues with Office 365 and outlook.
