I have tried to configure a configuration policy for device restriction for Whatsapp. Looks like I have done something wrong within the configuration. Maybe someone can help me.
Within the restricted apps section I have configured the prohibited app list and listed Whatsapp as an not managed app, which the users are not allowed to install and run. Users are not prevented from installing a prohibited app, but if they do so, this will be reported to you.
I set the following setting:
App-URL: https://itunes.apple.com/app/whatsapp-messenger/id310633997?mt=8
App Bundle ID: net.whatsapp.WhatsApp
App Name: WhatsApp
Publisher: WhatsApp Inc.
- problem with tests afterwards - no real report shown, once my testuser downloads Whatsapp, although all other configurations set in Intune work except this one.
I detected within the configurationn settings an error. The device compliance dashboard shows an error. And details show that that there is an error with the App store.
->I see a see red error within details of my configuration settings, telling me that somethin is wrong with the link. I copied the link out of the app store for Whatsapp. So what am I doing wrong? Or do I need to configure something else within the "App section", but as I understood configuration within the App section are only for managed apps?
Maybe someone can tell me the right input URL, App-Bundle Id etc?What am I doing wrong?
My aim is that the configuration policy itself works and I will get a report afterwards of the non compliant device.

Hello,
It looks like that the exact App Name is 'WhatsApp Messenger', NOT 'WhatsApp'.
In addition, you can leave the Bundle ID and Publisher as empty. The URL should be correct.
