Hi AlyMdr,
The program maybe disable Windows' built-in wireless networking configuration tab. You could uninstall it to check.
Or follow the steps below to check.
1. Make sure Wireless zero configuration is enabled.
Type “Services” in Search Bar and click enter. Find wireless zero configuration and select start up type to automatic, then put service status to started and OK.
If it has been enable, you could try to check the advanced settings as the SSuser1 provided.
2. reinstall your Wireless Network card driver from the official website of the manufacturer.
If the issue still insists, you could try to fix it by the methods below.
Forget your WiFi network and then reconnect to it
Stop your computer from turning its WiFi adapter off to save power
Edit or Create Group Policy via Registry Editor

Hi,
Thank you very much for the reply and information.
The services.msc was showing WLAN auto configuration and it was set to automatic already, the first link was an answers to windows xp with sp3.
I have tried the other steps but no luck either.
The group policy was having subkey, so I have not tried to change it
I have found this answer about the same issue in windows 10 forum but I have not followed yet the link is

Hi AlyMdr,
Thank you for your update.
The link you provided includes two methods, you could try.
1.It’s a similar thing to forget or delete the wifi network as the link below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25fAIvesuE0
2.Update the wireless Network card driver from the official website of the manufacturer.
3.Create a new user account to check.
If the issue still insists after reinstall the driver, I suppose that the utility called tweaker maybe change the system file. First, you could try to use dism command to repair.
Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.
Second, you could use the system restore.
Hope it will be helpful to you

Hi,
Thank you for the updated information, I have followed all instructions and still no luck.
I started SFC scannow and it checked the system and did not find any integrity violation.
I then tried the Wlan autoconfig followed the instructions as in youtube, I found I have to reboot to connect to internet otherwise it was not possible to restart Wlan autoconfig, the PC can connect to internet but not automatically when rebooting, the wireless properties tab was still missing.
I am using usb stick that connect to internet it is plug and play so it does not require any driver or software, I have tried it on several PCs.
I have not tried DISM command as I see sfc did not find integrity violation, I think sfc may not restore corrupted files especially in windows 10, this was possible in old version of windows to restore damaged files from the installation disk.
I have tried to get support from this tweaker utility but they did not reply to me, they usually support free.
Any more help is very much appreciated, and thank you for your kind help so far.

Hi AlyMdr,
According to your description, after update Network drive it still fail. I did a test and tried to catch the key value of the corresponding registry.
I suppose maybe this software overwrites or modifies the key value of the Wireless Properties tab.
Open CMD (Admin) and run the command below to reset NIC settings.
netcfg -d
If the issue still insists, two methods you could try to use.
- system restore
- In-place Upgrade

Hi,
Thank you very much for the new instructions
I have tried the NIC but no luck, problem not resolved tried several rebooting.
I checked my system restore dates with utility called CCleaner, the oldest recovery date is not beyond the date the problem happened, so I think it will not possibly solve the issue.
With regard to start set up repair, this most likely will help, but this set up I expect it will take long time especially when the set up start to look for up date to install, I am thinking of installing the new update to windows 10 and see if this will fix the issue, or wait for the new build of windows to save time.
I do not recall I have seen this wireless properties tab in this pc before but I have seen it in my other PC with same OS build.
I also tried this tweaking utility it says it can repair icons and start up programs but no luck, it just reported there is corrupted one file cabinet that is only useful in updating.
Thank you very much again for your continued help, I am not sure if there is any other options left to try?

Hi,
Thank you for your cooperation and update.
As we discussed, this problem occurred after a three-party software called tweaking utility cleaned up windows. Tweaking utility is a three-party software, we don't know what it cleans. I understand that you want to try installing the latest update of Windows 10 to see if you can solve the problem. As I said, we don't know what this tweaking utility cleans up, so it's not clear that installing the latest updates will solve the problem.
After we install the updates, if the issue still insists, we don’t need wait for new build of Windows.
You could try to perform a In-Place Upgrade to check. It could help to repair system files. Of course, wait for the next newer version also is OK.

Hi, thank you very much for the updated information very kind of you.
I have received reply from this tweaking utility software technical support, they said this utility should repair most windows damages, it is designed to repair not to clean, they are at web site called tweaking.com, they said if this issue not caused by driver then this utility should repair the problem, I do not know how I will wait for their reply.
I can update you with their response if you like.
Shall I mark this discussion as an answer or just await for reply from Tweaking technical?
thank you

Hi AlyMdr,
I'm not sure that the three-party software will fix the problem, as he said, if it's not a driver. But if you have tried and failed, you could wait for this software support’s reply.
For the issue in system, I’m afraid that In-Place Upgrade is our last choice.
Or as you said, we could wait for the next build version.

I totally agree with Carl. I can tell you In-Place Upgrade won`t affect the personal files. It allows you to keep all your files, settings and apps. No product key is required.

Hi carl,
Thank you for the updated email, I am still waiting for more instruction from this utility software, they have given me some instructions but again it did not solve, the problem still persistent, I may also ask the manufacturer of the PC in case windows 10 features may be affected by their model, so I can add this to the discussion or I can start new one.
