Hi  Hari Prasad.D,

Please check this registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\TabletMode

Enable:1

Disable:0

Need to log off and login the machine to make it take effect.

Best regards

What actually are you trying?

One can do the same without tweaking registry.

1. Press Windows Key + I.

2. Go to personalization.

3. Select Start option and

 4. Turn on the full screen mode.

I don't understand what exactly are you trying to change in tablet mode.

I want to install Win 10 Using SCCM. If the machine is Laptop and Desktop Start windows will be a normal window. If the machine is Tablet PC automatically Tiles window want to come. For that to automate i need registry key. If there is an registry key i will run as a .bat file in Task Sequence.

Hi D Hari,

"Full Screen"

What do you mean?

When the tablet mode is enabled, the UI should be in a full screen mode.

Best regards

Yes, You are right.

If we use the Use Start Full Screen Option, UI will be full screen and Minimized Application will show in the Taskbar.

If we use the Tablet Mode. Minimized App won't display in Taskbar.

If we use the Tablet Mode. Minimized App won't display in Taskbar.

That's just a default user preference.  In Settings, Tablet Mode.  It actually makes sense once you realize what a great improvement they have made to "swipe from the left" in Tablet mode.  E.g. it is much easier to see and access your running tasks that way than it is to try to fight with a Taskbar which is Auto-Hidden and which only has tiny Taskbar buttons to try to "tap" on as well.

Hi

While this setting will change - the issue is that at the restart machine revert back to old setting - where should that be edited to make that permanent?

It doesn't work if my `SETTINGS-SYSTEM-TABLETMODE` is "Remember what i used last"

You need to also set HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\SignInMode to 2.

In Group Policy Preferences, I set TabletMode to 1 and SignInMode to 2. After gpupdate/force and rebooting, I still see as default "Ask me before switching".

This also works if other software like FrontFace turn tablet mode on. (Which doesn't reflect in windows tablet mode settings)
