Question

Tuesday, June 19, 2018 6:30 PM

I purchased a new laptop with Windows 10 and MS Office 365.  I downloaded the x64 Visio Viewer 2016, but when I double click the Visio drawing in my email(Outlook), nothing appears.  Internet explorer appears, but it is a blank screen.  Need help ASAP, Please.

Hi mwalters,

When you open the Visio drawing in Internet Explorer, please check if the following tip appears:

Click Allow blocked content to open Visio drawing. If there is no prompt about it, please check the following setting in Internet Explorer:

In Internet Explorer, select the Tools button , and then select Internet options.
On the Security tab, select Custom level, and then under ActiveX controls and plug-ins, do one the following:

Allow Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls by selecting Enable.

Also try to enable other ActiveX controls setting. Then close IE. Open the Visio drawing to have a try.

Best Regards,
Winnie Liang

Thank you for your response.  I enabled every ActiveX control setting and am still getting a blank IE screen  I did notice that Visio Viewer 2016 is not listed in the Manage Add-Ons box.  Could that be my problem?  If so, how do I correct that?
