Hi,
after removing Exchange, we must delete all records left in the domain.
This environment is very old and I believe that the Exchange that existed was at the time of Windows 2003.
Does anyone know what records these are?
Or should you simply remove everything that contains the old server name, where it exists?
Thanks.

Hi
You can remove old records if Exchange has been removed completely. If an older version still exits you can check ADSIEdit to clean it up.
Hope this helps. Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

Hi Sandrix Helps,
You can use ADSI Edit to do that:
1.Go to:CN=Configuration,DC=DOMAIN,DC=LOCAL,CN=Services
DELETE: CN=Microsoft Exchange;CN=Microsoft Exchange Autodiscover
2.Go to:CN=Default naming context,DC=DOMAIN,DC=LOCAL
DELETE:CN=Microsoft Exchange Security Groups;CN=Microsoft Exchange Security Objects
You can refer to this link for some further information:https://blog.dargel.at/2012/11/20/complete-remove-exchange-2013-using-adsiedit/
