SharePoint Out of memory error while creating or opening a SP 2010 site or page

Hi all,

I am trying to open a site or create a site, iam getting an error "System out of memory". There is enough space available on the server. But when i check my Task manager to find out Physical memory usage and CPU usage,  physical memory is like 85%-95% used and Cpu usage is 5-15% used. Total physical memory is 4GB on this dev standalone server. I dont have any customizations and only 3-4 site collections with small DB size. I don't understand why its consuming so much space?

 Could you please help me out how to solve out this server memory issue? Thanks

What if you stop some service applications (such as search, managed metadata, Excel service, etc.) in SharePoint central administration to release some memory?

Hi ,

Maybe there are some process hang up and it consumed the RAM so Restart the windows.

Thanks for replying Fadi. I did restart the windows and the server too. I even doing iisreset or recycle the app pools but still noting happeing.
