Hello.
I'm trying to test the new preview of Windows app (win32) app in Intune. I followed the procedure from https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/apps-win32-app-management
Adding works fine but when the application didn't install on the client.
In Intune I get as well a failed when deploying to user as deploying to device with error code: 0x87D30006
I tried to install Microsoft Teams with the "Teams_windows_x64.exe".
What does this error code mean and how can I troubleshoot Win32 app deployments.

Today I tried to install another Win32 app which works without any issues.
It seems that the feature works fine but just had issue with the Teams client.
Thanks everyone for your help.

Teams has an MSI installer so there is no need to wrap the EXE.
Deployment with Intune works fine for us...

Yes, I also tried the MSI and the deployment works fine.
But I still do not get a shortcut in the start menu. Teams starts at logon so the program is installed correctly and function. But no shortcut. This is a complete other issue.
I was just wondering why the Win32 application won't install. I cannot find any documentation about error codes and how to troubleshoot the issue.
I will also check if another application works. Will use a small simple exe application to see if it is not Teams.exe related.

Hi,
I can't speak for individual software error codes but I gathered some information around the new Win32 feature in Intune here:
Maybe you can find some additional information in the working folders or registry. Otherwise check the installer of Teams in more detail.
best,
Oliver
