Hello,
I just reinstalled my Windows 8.1 PC,
and after installing VS 2013 Express and build my project it threw me error : Error : DEP1700 : The recipe file "xxxxxxx" doesn't exist.
**I've tried this:
- Repairing VS 2013
- Uninstalling-Restarting PC-Installing VS 2013**
But none of those works.
Anyone can help me?

I'm afraid Cross-Posting is ill-loved in many forums...
VS Express 2013 Error DEP1700: The recipe file “xxxxx.appxrecipe” does not exist. You may need to build your project

Hi noobsee,
Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
>>after installing VS 2013 Express and build my project it threw me error : Error : DEP1700 : The recipe file "xxxxxxx" doesn't exist.
To further help you support this issue, could you please tell me what version of the VS2013 Express you install on this Windows 8.1 PC?
Which kind of project you create in this VS2013 Express?
First of all, I suggest you could try to open this project location path check if you can see this file exist.
In addition, to help you check if this issue is related to the specify project or all projects, I suggest you could try to create a simple same type project from this VS2013 Express and then build it check this issue.
I suggest you could also try to re-start your machine and then launch your VS as admin, then build the project check this issue again.
Please try the above suggestion to check this issue and then share me latest message about it.
Best Regards,
