How to move column position in sharepoint

Hello All,

I added a new column in my list. List has 10 columns already and I want to position/move this new column to 4th position but it is displayed in 11th position. I tried in Column ordering option in List Settings but it is not moving. While entering new data values it's position comes 4th but while disply it is last (11th poistion). Why it is so? how can I resolve this issue? please someone help...

Hello,

You need to change the position in default view. Go to your list -->click "Modify View" from ribbon-->Now select the position in "Columns" section and say OK.

Column ordering option is for newform/editform pages but for display form you need to change position in view.
