Program keeps opening after I close it

Title says it all. A game I play keeps reopening itself after I close it. I've tried closing it normally, and ending the process via task manager, but the process keeps restarting.

I've asked on the forum for the game, but nobody has ever seen it before. I'm hoping to have a bit more luck here.

You can use Process Monitor to log. Only activate "Process and Thread Activity".
Stop the game via Task Manager and observe.

Look at the line  just before the "Operation" = "Process Start" for your process,
f.e. here notepad was started via Start-Menu (so "Operation" = "Process Create" from explorer.exe):
