Why are some items in my "Sent Items" crossed out?

In Outlook 2013 "Sent Items folder.   Some Items are crossed out.  What does that mean?

Hi,

Maybe you have a custom view which includes a Conditional Formatting. In Sent Items folder, click VIEW tab -> Current View -> View Settings -> Conditional Formatting -> Check if you have any rule that changes the font with strikeout.

You can simply click the Reset View button in Sent Items folder to check the result as well.

GREAT, THANK YOU!

Conditional Formatting is set to show 'Expired email' as strike-over.  Now I just need a definition of 'Expired Email'.  Outlook Help is not very helpful.
