Question

I'm not sure what changed... However, F8 no longer works for my OSD deployments. I'm trying to troubleshoot a Dell Latitude E5570 and why it won't get an IP (I know it's a driver issue from a few weeks ago when F8 was working) but can't get the command prompt to open. Here are the things I have double and triple verified:
-Check box is on for both x64 and x86 boot wims
-Content has successfully distributed to the DPs
-F8 used to work on this exact laptop (it's my test machine)
-Task sequences are using the correct and only boot wim
-Verified correct package ID is loading for booting into PE
-For the E5570 with the driver issue - The OSD deployment doesn't even load to the TS selection, this is as far as it gets before rebooting http://i.imgur.com/TX6n8Yo.png
-For the E5540 with no driver issue - the OSD works as intended but still has no F8 functionality
-Turning off the check box and re-distributing the WIM then, turning it back on and re-distributing it.
-Deleting the content from the DP and re-distributing
-Creating new boot wim and using that as primary x64 wim
-Using Sh+F10
-Using FN keys in conjunction with F keys
I'm out of ideas... Any help would greatly be appreciated as I have been stuck on this for about a week now.
Thanks,
Anthony

I figured it out after much time spent on this issue. The problem was the E5570 network and storage drivers in the boot wim. As soon as I removed those, F8 resumed working properly.

Hi,
After you enable the command prompt support, when upgrade the .win file, did you get any error?
Have you tried to create a new boot image and check if you get the command prompt?

Dear Sir,
If you change a TS or create a new TS and deploy, will the issue occur again?
Also you could test that if the F8 function will work or not when you boot from a bootable media which contains the same boot image.
Best regards,
Jimmy
