Question

Hi Guys,
We are trying to print a 23 Mb from Microsoft office 2016 powerpoint, where the file is taking around 7-8 min to print.
The same file is taking only less than 4 min to print from Office 2010 powerpoint application.
We are using the same PCL 6 driver for both scenarios.
I have also disabled the print in background option in power point. But the result is same.
Do you guys have any suggestions for this issue

Where is a 23 MB PowerPoint file located? in your local compute, in a file server, on Web?
Are both PPT files (2016 and 2010) in the same place?
How is [Image Size and Quality]? same in 2016 and 2010?

Hi,
The file is located locally on the pc.
We have tested different PC's installed with Office 2016.
When we tried the same file on a computer which has office 2010 it is printing fast.
Please see the attached screen.

Hi,
Sorry for my many questions.
(1) Is the issue the same if you print other PPT files? Or does the issue occur with a specific PPT file?
(2) What is your printer? Please provide make and model name.
(3) Please check if properties/settings of the printer is the same between PPT 2016 computer and PPT 2010 computer. (especially Print Processor)

Hi,
What's your print setting in PowerPoint 2016? Please click File > Options > Advanced, under Print and When printing this document:
Also check Ashidacchi's question to narrow down the issue.
Best Regards,
Winnie Liang

Hi Winnie,
The above setting is unchecked. I have noticed the spool size of the document is different in both
versions of the MS Office.
I can see the total spool size in MS 2010 is 60 Mb and the spool size in MS 2016 is 724 Mb.
