Question

Hi,
Recently I tried to enable bitlocker encryption on my desktop with motherboard-created raid-1.
During checking of compatability with the system Bitlocker failed with error: <Unable to decrypt system disk during provisioning>.
I Googled and found what Bitlocker doesn't support software raid(I assume it's motherboard RAID).
I would like to buy LSI SAS3041E-HP raid controller but how I can understand is it supported by Bitlocker?
Or any RAID controller connected to bus is supported?
Best regards,
Alex

Hi,
BitLocker doesn't work on software RAIDs, but it does work for hardware RAIDs.
You could refer to the BitLocker documentation on TechNet:

Hope above information can help you.
