Difference between CU, Hotfix, SP and Patch ?

A hotfix addresses (usually) a particular issue, for example, a security fix.

A Cumulative Update is a collection of hotfixes that has somewhat more extensive automated testing.

A Service Pack is basically the same as a CU, but also serves as a baseline of support at a certain point of time. It may have more extensive testing than a CU.
