With OneNote 2010, a shortcut in the Startup folder under the Start button pointing to "C:\Program files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ONENOTEM.EXE" /tsr opened OneNote silently without a splash screen, minimised to the system tray and with nothing being shown in the taskbar.
With OneNote 2013 the equivalent shortcut "C:\Program files\Microsoft Office\Office15\ONENOTEM.EXE" /tsr puts the "Send to OneNote" program in the taskbar with nothing in the system tray.
When I want to view OneNote proper, it then shows the splash screen before opening.
Using "C:\Program files\Microsoft Office\Office15\ONENOTEM.EXE" without the "/tsr" switch, shows the splash screen then opens OneNote and shows it on the screen. I can then minimise it to the system tray.
I've tried all the combinations with “Place OneNote icon in the notification area of the taskbar.” "start with OneNote" ticked and unticked to no effect.
Essentially I want 2013 to work like 2010, on Windows start up
- load but don't show OneNote on screen
- put the icon in the system tray
- don't show a splash screen
- don't put anything in the task bar
Classic case of making the new work like the old ;)
Anyone have any ideas? Ta
