Question
Saturday, October 19, 2019 9:19 PM
I have 2 computers, C1 and C2, (both running Win10Pro - 1903) and 2 users, U1 and U2.
U1 is the main administrator on C1 and C2 with the same login credentials on both computers.
U2 is an added administrator on C1 and C2 with the same credentials on both computers.
U2 can see and access shared folders from C1 to C2 and from C2 to C1
U1 can see C2 from C1 and see C1 from C2 , but can't login from either direction. I get a username or password incorrect error.
I have researched everything:
My network and sharing settings are correct
I am on a wired connection
I set the services below as suggested in other threads:
Function Discovery Provider Host: Automatic (Delayed Start) and Running
Function Discovery Resource Publication: Automatic (Delayed Start) and Running
for both the above under the 'Recovery Tab' in case of failure set to 'restart service'.
SSDP Discovery: Manual and Running
UPnP Device Host: Manual and Running
I made sure the Credential Manager for C1 and C2 had the correct username and password.
I am at a loss
Otto

Hi,
I had the same issue. I resolved this by putting passwords on both of the computers in your case c1 and c2. Make sure they have the same password.
Change the Function Discovery Provider Host service to automatic.
Change the Function Discovery Resource Publication service to automatic.
Change the SSDP Discovery service to automatic.
Change the UPnP device host to automatic.
Restart the pc.
Many Thanks
