SQL server 2012 is also there.

The customer has asked us to change hostname of servers.so we changed the hostname of servers and now we r unable to see disk(SAN),unable to connect CLUSTER ,unable to add  theses nodes in cluster and as no disk in computer management no SQL server database.

Please suggest what to do??

HOw to change hostname of servers without affecting failover clustering.

I don't think you can rename the nodes of the cluster after you have installed SQL.  SQL is a pretty 'sticky' application in a cluster and it does not respond well to changes.  Your best bet would be to evict a node from the cluster, rename it, add it back into the cluster, and re-install SQL on it.

it's a lot of work, for now rename them back as they were so you can have your cluster up again, make sure to clean up the DNS entries

after that decide how to go about doing it

Hi Roronoa,

As the other friends said that you can not change any node hostname when cluster/sql installed.

If you want to rename node's hostname you have to evict the node then rename it. Then you can add to cluster again.
