DNS server client hosts showing wrong IP address

Question

Wednesday, January 29, 2020 5:06 AM

Hi Guys,

I have 1000+ client systems in my environment. We have network firewall which releases DHCP-IP address to client machines.

I have observed that In AD server DNS records are not matching with current IP address of the machine.its showing other ip address.

Due to this I'm facing lot of issues.

When I tried to open the share path of client system through hostname its not able to access.

Please suggest me any ideas ?

Ram

Hi,

Yes.

Please clear and then flush your DNS record in AD server.

Hope this can help you.

Have a nice day!

Hi,

Please run the command: ipconfig/flushdns to clear the DNS cache.

And then run the command: ipconfig/registerdns.

Please check your event viewer, if there is any error?

Hope this can help you, if you have anything unclear, please let me know.

Have a nice day!
