I can't open a PDF with Microsoft Edge. I've read some of the online posts and I don't have any Adobe product installed. I have to close Microsoft Edge and open Google Chrome tp view any PDF. The only reason I installed Chrome was because I couldn't open a PDF with Edge.

Hi,
Microsoft Edge is not supported ActiveX plug-in for Acrobat Adobe Reader. You can only run one PDF Reader at a time in Windows 10; if you are using two PDF viewer such as Microsoft Edge & Adobe Reader then PDF file can be corrupted.
Firstly, you could repair or reset Microsoft Edge to default settings in Windows 10. Please follow to steps below to check.

Then you could check if Edge has been set to open PDF file by default.

Or you could create a new user account to make sure the user profile works fine.
If the issue still insists, I suggest that you could use the system restore to get an earlier state before the issue occurs.
Best Regards,
Tao
